New Year resolutions

Since its month #6, half way through the year I though I'd go over my new year resolutions, see what I have accomplished and what I have yet to do.

I made the image above with all the new year resolutions and made it as my desktop background, so that I would look at it everyday and remember what I want.

Starting left to right, upper left hand corner.
-" full life of happiness and love"- um yes, somewhat accomplished
-drink=party- Yes, somewhat as well
- Eat a lot of sushi- YES!!!
-eat a lot of chocolate- somewhat
-go snorkeling- No...:-(
- books=Duke- YES!!!!
-go to the beach- not yet
-have good luck- somewhat
-get money- Yes
-go to Argentina- I will
-see fireworks- not yet
-travel a lot- somewhat
-go to a fancy event- not quite
-eat a lot of pastries- not really
- be as faboulous as Audrey Hepburn- Not quite
-Go to NYC- No...
-Have nive hair like Olsen twins- not quite

Ahhhhh, yes, still more to accomplish.

Smart People
Funny, yet sad and realistic. Audience is able to identify with both charactes, father and daugther. It has many hilarious parts, but remains down to earth and sweet. Juno actress seems to prefer similar type movies for her chareer.

What Happens in Vegas
Its like any movie you wouldexpect from Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, funny and mildly entertaining yet not life changing. I enojoyed it and laughed a couple times, but Im sure I wont really remember it in a couple months. I thought it was seemed a little too long for a comedy, even though it was only 100 minutes.

Factory Girl
LOVED IT! Highly entertaining, artistic, fashionable, funny and tragic. Both characters, Eddie Segwick and Andy Warhol are icons of the 60's and this movie, that of course may not follow true facts, gave me a new insight and light into these personas. Although the dashing Hayden Christensen does a horrible job as Bob Dylan, the movie still pleased me.

Movies I want to see

Sex and the City
Of course! I am girl, what else would you expect? I have heard many disappointing reviews, but as a loyal fan of the series I cannot NOT go watch it. Some peole have alredy given me spoilers that anger me, but I am sure that the fashion will not let me down.

Batman: Dark Knight
Not only because its Heath Ledger's last full movie, but because I am an action movie junkie and absolutly loved the previous Batman movie, Batman Begins. Plus the trailer is so well made, how could you not want to watch it?

Wanted
I love action, I love Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy and I have a girl crush on Angelina Jolie, what more could I ask for?

I recently visited Duke, the university I will be attending in the fall. I cannot wait to move in!!! I am hunted by its beautiful gothic arquitecture, and Im eager to be there. It has its own garden, lake, chapel, 12 libraries, movie theater, auditorium, concert arena, indoor and outdoor pool, climbing wall, supermarket, restaurants, golf course, and so much more!
IM IN LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! TAKE ME THERE NOW!

Here are some movies I have recently watched and loved.

Love in the time of Cholera.
Absolutely romantic, full of hot steamy scences. Based on Gabriel Garcia's book, it takes place in Colombia and a must see for those who have a misconception on South American people and countries. Best of all, its actually filmed in Colombia, not in some south american-looking set in Florida, which truly adds authenticity and flair to the movie. Also proves that South American countries are not horrible, like most first-world citizens believe. It has so many beautiful shots of nature and old cities, and the music is really good.

These are some movies Im dying to see on the theater or DVD.

I have been neglecting you much too long, sorry LJ. Anyway, I had a birthday recently.

To celebrate my birthday on Thursday I went out to eat at a fab. Peruvian restaurant.

The food was pretty spicy

The dessert called "Miloja" which literally means one thousand pages was soooo delicious and crispy.

Had some beer.

Then Saturday had a little get together with my friends.

Rachel and Maria's tongue looked back because of the edible ribbon on the cake.

This cake from Edible Art was probably my favorite present.

My friends pulled on the ribbons to find their charm

Each charm had a different meaning.

a handmade pillow my friend made for me, Sushi and zebra print, my two fav. things!

...a hilarious horn bag.
We then proceeded to go on the railway and to Steak n' Sheak

On tuesday I then went out to eat and see Michael Buble on concert.

...love this man!

This summer I went to France for two weeks.

I went to Versailles, and this was my favorite hall of all.

The beautiful ceiling at the entrance.

In front of the famous Eiffel Tower

View of Paris from the Eiffel Tower (...Im wearing my uncle's sweater because the white one I was wearing got pooped on by a pigeon while I was in line to buy my ticket)

The beautiful Montmartre, which I liked better than Notre Dame.
...Also surrounded by cute stores and good restaurants.

The very disappointing outside of Moulin Rouge (also my favorite movie)...maybe someday Ill go inside.

Eating a delicious macaroon from La Duree....yum!

...and finally, I took part in the Juliet 14 fesitvities (independence day) infront of the Eiffel Tour at midnight.
